Air-fried Apples : Cinnamon, Nut-cardamom and Cocoa

I usually make cinnamon apples with a little ghee in the air-fryer and love them. On another note, our three-year0old loves to help in the kitchen these days and was very interested when I was making these apples. Since he always helps to make cakes, he recommended that we add cocoa powder (a few of the cake ingredients he loves!) and then kept asking me to add nuts.

Long story short: We ended up making these three variants of air-fried apples and we loved them so much that they had to be on the blog!

Why make spiced, air-fried apples?

These spiced air-fryer apples are healthy, quick-to-make and can replace one’s sweet cravings. You may store them in the refrigerator and they last for 2-3 days. Have them as a snack and these are great for kids too! Here are other healthy sweets on the blog if you are looking for naturally-sweet dessert recipes.

Expected Questions for making spiced Air-fried Apples

    1. Can I pan-fry the apples?

Yes, you may pan-fry the apples. I prefer the texture of air-fried apples and also the ease of use. The texture should be similar in pan-fried method.

    2. Can I use pressure cook the apples?

Yes, you may. If using an instant pot, “zero minute,” quick release works. However, the texture might be a little ‘steamed’ and softer.

    2. I find the recipe turning out less sweet.

Depending upon the apples, the air-fried apples might be less sweet. You may sprinkle a little jaggery powder or brown sugar before air-frying on them if you like them sweeter.
