This fresh mint tea is a perfect cup for helping one unwind. With added spices, it is anti-inflammatory, making it a healthy, refreshing evening drink!

Thankfully, we have a lot of mint in our backyard, and that inspired the name of this blog (read: about me). If merely glancing at it isn’t refreshing enough -adding it to a beverage takes the cool-quotient of the drink way higher!

Also, spices are anti-inflammatory; therefore, this fresh mint tea recipe is a perfect health drink that you will love.

Disclaimer: Like any good thing, moderation is the key to this tea or any spiced tea, for that matter. You may want to check with your nutritionist/doctor if you have any question regarding spices, if you are taking any medication or if you are trying any spice for the first time.

How to make Fresh Mint Tea?

Step-by-Step Instructions

Diet:

Vegan,

Gluten-Free

Ingredients

  • 8-10 fresh Mint leaves
  • 2 cloves
  • 2 cardamom pods
  • 5-8 black peppercorn (it will be hot, so per taste)
  • 2 cups water
  • 2-3 teaspoon honey (optional, per taste)

Step 1

Grind all ingredients, except water, to form a paste. I use a mortar and pestle and grind it by hand. You may use a small grinder of your choice. You may skip the cardamom pods at this stage and add cardamom powder right before staining for added flavor.

Step 2

Add a little water to the mortar so that the mint and spice mix is released from the mortar.

Step 3

Now add the mint-and-spice mix above in a pan and add remaining water. Bring it to a boil. Stain and Serve.
